Acknowledgment of PAWSIES LLC Terms & Conditions Agreement

Welcome to Pawsies! These terms & conditions are a contract between you & Pawsies. By purchasing or requesting any services under the umbrella of PAWSIES you agree to the following terms & conditions: 

Tours 

Welcome! We are happy to show you around. Walk-in tour requests are accepted but not guaranteed. We recommend calling to schedule a tour as we have to accommodate staff to show the facility. 

*Admission Requirements For All Services 

Dogs participating in daycare/boarding activities are required to be fully vaccinated. Neutered/spayed is not required, but your dog must respect other dogs and staff boundaries. If there’s obsessive humping, no limitations, reactivity or aggressive behaviors your dog will not be allowed to join the playgroup. Your dog will be allowed to participate in solo play. Your dog must be human-friendly to continue with daycare/boarding services. If your dog is selective or aggressive towards staff, you’ll be required to speak with our trainer for training.

Training

Vaccination records must be up to date.

*Vaccinations

All dogs using our services are required to provide proof of current vaccinations for the following: Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella. Please keep in mind to always send us a copy of any new vaccination records. 

Booking Reservation/Appointment

While we do accept walk-ins for all services, we ask all customers to request any service using the portal account for accommodation. New walk-ins without a reservation are not guaranteed. However, Pawsies will do its best to accommodate new walk-in requests. To avoid overbooking, slots are secured and other customers will not be allowed to request the same reservation/appointment time. 

*Booking Boarding Service

A deposit is required when booking boarding. You must read your invoice carefully and pay full deposit balance before attending.

*Modifying Boarding

Modify FREE with at least 24 hours in advanced notice before check-in. A $5-$40 accommodation fee applies for extending your stay while your dog is already boarding with us. In the event of an early pick-up, full payment will be collected for the rest of the stay. NO REFUNDS. (PAWSIES accommodates as soon as you book your reservation).

*Canceling & Rescheduling Boarding 

Cancel Free with at least 24 hours in advanced notice. Short notice cancellation/reschedule Deposit are not refundable. Refunds or cancellations are not permitted if reservation has been modified during short notice.

*Canceling Daycare 

Cancel FREE anytime (Daycare ONLY). If you requested pick-up/drop-off, you must read the transportation policy. 

*Boarding No-Show

Given the option to cancel/reschedule services, it is important to understand that we accommodate for your dog to be present & block other requests to prevent overbooking as soon as you submit a request. A no-show is an automatic forfeit service. Not attending a reserved spot is blocking others from attending and leaves the spot empty. The deposit is forfeit and not refundable.

UNLIMITED DAYCARE SUBSCRIPTION

  • For 1 dog use only.

  • +$10 holiday rate daycare visit apply to all customers.

  • Boarding is not included.

  • Relief walks are not included.

  • PAWSIES is not responsible for any unused daycare days. All unlimited days auto renew and does not rollover.

  • Cancel anytime.

  • No subscription on hold.

TRANSPORTATION FOR DAYCARE/BOARDING USERS 

*Accommodation Fee (Transportation) 

Avoid accommodation $5-$15 fees by making your own reservations online ahead of time. Pick-up requests must be scheduled with at least 24 hour notice. If a customer forgot to book a drop-off service using the portal, at arrival to daycare/boarding, customers are entitled to request drop-off based on our availability at no extra cost. If the owner calls/email/text/walk-in to request a drop-off after the dog has been checked in for more than one hour, accommodation fees $5-$15 may apply. 

*Cancel pick-up/drop-off (Transportation) 

Cancel FREE with at least 24-hour notice before check-in. $5-$15 accommodation fee applies to your transportation when canceling on a short notice (FOR DAYCARE USERS TOO). If customer request a drop-off service during check-in, customer have 1 hour to cancel drop-off service for FREE with-in 1 hour after the dog has been checked-in. Accommodation fee applies when cancelling past the 1 hour mark.

*Dog Walks 

A dog walker is available for customers within walking distance from 928 Flushing ave Brooklyn, NY 11206 only. (10-minute walk from Pawsies) 

  • All walks must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. A $5-$15 fee will apply for short notice.

  • A $5-$15 cancellation fee applies when canceling within the 24-hour mark. 

  • If the commute is more than a 10 minute walk, the walk service rate will change based on the commute from PAWSIES. (Call for price). 

Group Classes 

During the semester period, we offer 1 make-up per semester. If Pawsies cannot accommodate you for a make-up please note the dog owner is entitled to a free daycare pass. There is no make-up for the last day of class & all make-up must be used during the same semester. 

Private Session 

Reschedule FREE 24 hours in advance notice. A $5-$15 charge will be applied for short notice of rescheduling. Regardless of any excuse for missing your private appointment, a $15 make-up charge will be added to your bill to recover credit or option to forfeit session credit. 

*Planning A First-time Daycare?

Regardless of your dog's behavior he/she must go through a one-time temperament evaluation and a half day visit first (*It’s not a free service). Any aggressive behavior towards dogs/people or other things must be reported to a professional. 

*Planning Boarding? 

Please note that it’s important to participate in the one-time temperament evaluation and a half day of daycare first. Dogs that miss their evaluation will be excluded from participating in daycare & socializing with all dogs in the facility and be charge an extra $30 for skipping our evaluation.

Owners are responsible for... 

  • Supplying the dog food in a storage container or pack. If food runs out, the owner will be contacted & offered a selective meal from the storefront at an extra cost. Please note that it’s normal for dog eating habits to change due to being away from home. Any leftover food will be placed back in its food storage & returned to the owner. 

  • Label the food with the dog’s name. 

  • Any medication. 

  • A blanket or cloth from home to help dogs with separation anxiety. *Optional 

*Temperament 

Safety is our top priority followed by our service. Our team members do their best to control the dog environment and avoid any unpleasant behaviors. During your dog's stay, if temperamental behavior strikes, the dog will move to an isolated space till it is safe to return again. If aggression continues, the dog will be temporarily blocked from daycare and the owner will be offered private training classes. Daycare will be offered again as soon as the dog is ready to return. 

Upon Arrival 

All dogs in the lobby must be on a leash. 

Collars and ID 

All dogs are required to wear a collar with identification while at Pawsies. The ID tag should state the first name of your dog and a contact phone number. We do not recommend expensive leather or designer harnesses or collars as collars can get damaged or destroyed. 

Personal Items 

Personal bedding or toys are allowed during the stay. However, we can’t be responsible for any personal belongings brought into our facility. Due to our high volume, it is possible that items can be damaged or lost. Pawsies will not be held responsible for any lost or damaged items.

Medication Policy 

Notify a professional if your dog is on medication. Provide instructions or any informative information such as how to give medication and any side effects. Medication must be labeled with…

Infectious Health Issues 

Common infectious health issues that are passed among dogs include: 

  • Upper Respiratory Infection (Bordetella), 

  • Influenza 

  • Parasites 

  • Worms 

  • Fungi (Ringworm) 

  • Mange 

  • Lyme (through ticks) 

  • Oral warts 

  • Eye infections 

Dogs with any infection will be removed immediately and placed in the appropriate environmental care. 

Emergencies 

If there is an emergency, the facility will make all reasonable efforts to first contact the pet owner. If the pet owner is unable to be contacted, we will try a second source emergency number provided by the dog owner. If your dog needs urgent care, the dog will be taken to the closest animal hospital. All expenses are to be covered by the dog owner. 

Injury and Indemnification 

If the Pet(s) accidentally dies, becomes ill, or is injured, Pet Owner waives and releases Pawsies from any claim arising from such an incident. If the pet(s) bites or injures staff, or any other human or animal, the pet owner will be responsible for any resulting injury. In addition, the Pet owner shall hold harmless and indemnify Pawsies against any and all costs, expenses, losses, liabilities, and claims arising out of or relating to any acts of the pet(s) except if arising out of the negligence or intentional misconduct on the part of Pawsies. 

Feeding Policy

All boarding & daycare dogs are scheduled to eat their first meal from 12 pm-1 pm. Optional to request your dog's eating schedule and portions per meal. Boarding dogs have their second & final meal at 7 pm. 

*Pick Up Late Fees 

Daycare hours of operation are Mon-Fri 7 am - 7 pm and Sat-Sun 8 am- 5 pm. Half-day daycare is 4 hours or less. When picking your dog up late, please be considerate of our team members as we have to accommodate for extra time. For every 10 minutes after closing, a late pick-up $10 fee will be charged. Parents running late have 30 minutes to pick-up their dog or the dog will automatic boarding for the overnight. (Accommodation fees apply plus the boarding service).

  • Half days will auto roll over into a full day. 

  • A $10 fee will be charged every 10 minutes after closing for 30 minutes.

Public Photography & video Permission 

Photographs and/or video recordings are captured daily  to share across all platforms such as social media, website & marketing (Ad campaigns, posters, flyers, etc). Photos/videos are not allowed to be used for any illegal matter. Your approval signature is the acceptance of releasing content. 

*Refund (read services policies) 

There are no refunds for any purchase items or for any used service. 

Rewards Program & Store Credit

Not cash refundable.

Dispute Charge 

Failure to follow program policy and request a dispute, the cardholder/ customer is responsible to pay any fee during the case. The card on file will be charged. 

Service Postponed & Emergency Shut Downs 

Emergencies can occur at any time and can lead to a service shutdown. If your appointment service is postponed, customers have the option to reschedule, request a voucher credit, or hold a purchase for use in the future. For support contact +1 (347)796-7597 or email at ivan@pawsiesnyc.com
